In Q1 2024, Italy's food and drink app market on Android saw varied performance across the top five applications. Here’s a closer look at the weekly trends in downloads and active users for each app.

McDonald's demonstrated a dynamic trend in weekly downloads. Starting with 31.4K downloads in the first week of January, the app peaked at 41.8K in mid-January before experiencing fluctuations and settling at 21.6K by the end of March. Active users saw a similar pattern, starting at 1.2M, peaking at 1.5M in mid-January, and ending the quarter at approximately 982K.

Too Good To Go: End Food Waste showed a consistent increase in weekly downloads, beginning the quarter at 16.3K and reaching a high of 29.1K in mid-February. The app concluded Q1 with 16.6K downloads. Active users also grew steadily, starting at 293K and peaking at 362K in early February, maintaining stability around 336K by the end of March.

TheFork - Restaurant bookings experienced significant growth mid-quarter. Weekly downloads started at 13.8K, surged to 30.8K in mid-February, and then decreased to 12.9K by the end of March. Active users followed this trend, starting at 57.9K, peaking at 77.8K in mid-February, and ending at 65.4K.
